About The CBC Award of Honor

The Chicago Building Congress “Award of Honor” is the highest personal achievement award that can be bestowed upon an individual in the Chicago building industry.  Since 1995, this prestigious award has recognized outstanding leaders for their lifetime contributions to the art and science of construction.

The Award of Honor is now presented annually as part of the CBC Merit Awards, which have celebrated the building industry since 1956 by recognizing outstanding projects across the greater Chicagoland area completed within the past three years. In addition to honoring exceptional projects, the Merit Awards also present the Award of Honor, the CBC Equity Champion Award, and the CBC Community Impact Award.
