Who We Are
Chicago Building Congress is the ‘cornerstone’ of Greater Chicagoland’s dynamic Building Industry, for it unites diverse members of the City’s building community in common interests and purpose.
CBC’s Annual Events
The Chicago Building Congress brings together key players in Chicago’s dynamic Building Industry with educational programs and seminars that energize and motivate the membership. CBC provides a forum for exchanging ideas and making contacts within the industry through monthly networking opportunities at luncheon meetings and events.
CBC sponsors informative, topical, stimulating programs that encourage communication among professionals within the industry. Regular monthly luncheon speakers include leading industry experts in architecture, engineering, building, finance, and development. CBC Seminars offers members an opportunity to keep up-to-date on the advancing art, science, and technology for the Building Industry.
CBC’s annual award programs recognize both outstanding projects, and Industry Leaders. Each year, CBC’s Merit Award program honors outstanding projects in greater Chicagoland built during the past three years. The Award of Honor program is CBC’s lifetime achievement award. It recognizes an outstanding leader for his or her major contributions to the Chicago Building Industry over the productive years of a long working career.
CBC provides Industry Professionals with networking opportunities throughout the year. Their Future Leaders group host quarterly events which are more informal than other CBC meetings, and are held at venues appealing to young professionals. They cover a variety of career development topics targeted to their interests and provide opportunities to network with other future leaders as well as current leaders in the Chicagoland Construction Industry. CBC also hosts their annual Golf Classic. This event is a perfect opportunity to network in an informal setting.
